Chy Designs is a landscape design practice where technical clarity meets generations of inherited wisdom. As the Principal Designer and a Colorado State University alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA), I provide professional design services across residential, public, and mixed-use projects with a deep respect for place.
My perspective is uniquely rooted in the Colorado landscape. Raised in a curated Front Range water-wise “paradise”, I developed a lifelong intuition for the land long before formalizing that knowledge through the systemic and regional study of Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering. This allows me to see a site both through the lens of a “living sculpture” and as a rigorous technical challenge.
I believe the best landscapes are built on the principle of “Right Plant, Right Place.” My training in the Certified Colorado Gardener program has provided me with a detailed command of our local flora, ensuring that every design is as resilient as it is beautiful. Whether navigating complex workflows or selecting water-wise, fire-aware, and pollinator-friendly species for a community canopy, my focus remains on practical problem-solving and stewardship.
My commitment to the land is further backed by extensive field research. I directed the logistics for a multi-year study of 135+ National Parks and Monuments which was an operation that required disciplined project management and a deep study of North American ecologies. This experience, combined with my training in the Playground Safety Inspector program, ensures that I create spaces that are safe, sustainable, inspired, and built to serve people for the long term.
